The Covenant for the Land

God, in covenant relationship with Abram, took full responsibility not only for the land of Canaan for Abram's physical descendants, but also for the eternal prospect of the holy Mount Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem, the city which has foundations whose builder and maker is God, found in Christ in the new heavens and earth. In view of this we look at God's command of Israel for the utter destruction of the Amorites, and a sense of the justification of God in this not-easy-to-grasp move of God with Israel.
